Kent Lucien Elected to Board of Directors of Bank of Hawaii Corporation
HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2006--Bank of Hawaii Corporation (NYSE:BOH) announced that its shareholders have elected Kent T. Lucien to serve on its Board of Directors effective April 28, 2006.
Lucien, who until recently was chief executive officer of operations for C. Brewer & Co. Ltd., will serve a two-year term and become a member of the board's Audit Committee. He replaces Peter Baldwin, who retired from the board in November 2005.
Lucien is currently a trustee for C. Brewer. He had been with C. Brewer, a Hawaii-based diversified enterprise with business operations in agriculture, food processing, industrial services and real estate, since 1980 and held several management positions including executive vice president and chief financial officer just prior to his appointment as CEO Operations in 2001. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Lucien has a bachelor of arts degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, Calif. and a master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University.
He currently serves on the board of Maui Land & Pineapple Company as chairman of the Audit Committee, and is a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
