Matthew K.M. Emerson
Matt Emerson is Senior Executive Vice President of Bank of Hawaii and a member of the bank’s Executive Committee. He oversees the bank’s Retail Lending, Consumer Deposits, and Credit Card businesses.
Mr. Emerson joined the bank in 2010 as Vice President and Internet Banking Manager. Since then, he has held various leadership roles across the bank, including in eCommerce and Digital Channels, Private Banking and Investment Services.
Mr. Emerson currently serves as a Board Member for PBS Hawai‘i, Kapiolani Health Foundation, Hawaii Asia Pacific Association (HAPA) Young Leaders, and is a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii.
Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, Mr. Emerson worked in San Francisco for a number of companies, including as Vice President of Strategic Planning at Wells Fargo Bank. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and applied math from Northwestern University and his master’s in business administration degree in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management.
