Susan L. Ing
Promoted to senior executive vice president, chief marketing officer and a member of the Executive Committee (formerly known as the Managing Committee) in 2015, Susan L. Ing is responsible for brand, marketing communications, and client experience strategies. Digital marketing, e-commerce, website and CRM functions report up to her. In addition, she oversees market research, advertising, employee experience, corporate communications, and community engagement.
Ms. Ing, who began her career at Bank of Hawaii as a management trainee, rejoined the bank in 2004 and was promoted to executive vice president from senior vice president in 2007. She has more than 30 years of marketing experience in the financial services industry in Hawaii and on the mainland. Prior to her return to the bank, she was vice president of sales and marketing for DTRIC Insurance Company in Honolulu. Her earlier experience was as vice president and marketing director for Finance Enterprises and vice president of product management for Bank of America, both in Honolulu. In addition, she served as group vice president of marketing for Coast Federal Bank of Los Angeles, California.
A graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Ms. Ing holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is also active in the community, serving on the boards of directors of Goodwill Hawaii, Hawai‘i Public Radio, and YWCA O‘ahu.
